Her interest in natural health therapies began in 1993 after twenty years of struggling with her daughter’s illnesses
only to find that the allopathic medicine therapies were causing more problems than the underlying illnesses themselves. This search for a better, less toxic way led her first to energy medicine,
with Reiki and Kinesiology. In 1998 she left the corporate world to open Carolina Reiki Institute, Inc. for the purpose of extending to others the benefits of receiving Reiki treatments as well as to
train individuals and practitioners in treating others. Then in 2000 she returned to school to pursue a wider range of knowledge, receiving her Doctorate in natural health in 2003. She
continues to study and keep abreast of natural healing methods in order to help clients in ways that are tailored to their specific needs.
